1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using inner (the “Service”), operated by IO Circle Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use inner. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. Users between 13 and 18 must have parental or guardian consent.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at hello@myinner.app. You agree not to create an account using false information or on behalf of someone else without their permission.
4. Use of the Service
4.1 Permitted Use
You may use inner for personal, non-commercial purposes to understand your personality, connect with people in your life, and improve your interpersonal relationships.
4.2 Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
- Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data without permission.
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service.
- Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Service.
- Transmit spam, malware, or other harmful content.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
5. Assessment Results and Accuracy
inner’s personality assessments are based on established psychological frameworks including the Big Five, Attachment Theory, and the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument. Results are intended for personal insight and relationship awareness only. They are not clinical diagnoses, professional psychological evaluations, or a substitute for professional mental health support. We make no guarantee that results are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
6. Sage — AI Mediator
Sage is an AI-powered feature designed to offer reflection and guidance based on your inner profile. Sage is not a licensed therapist, counselor, or mental health professional. Conversations with Sage are not confidential in the way that therapist-client communications are. Do not rely on Sage for mental health emergencies. If you are in crisis, contact a qualified professional or emergency services.
7. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit to inner, including messages in Spaces. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, and display that content as necessary to operate the Service. You are solely responsible for content you submit. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of inner including the assessment framework, compatibility system, Sage, design, and branding are owned by IO Circle Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
9. Privacy
Your use of inner is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason. You may delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting hello@myinner.app.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IO CIRCLE INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Santa Clara County, California.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
